Phenom II X4 980 BE Desktop
This was my previous desktop, running Windows 10 and Debian Jessie. The case, GPU, SSD, PSU and peripherals are still in use with the new one.
Hardware specifications

- AMD Phenom II X4 980 Black Edition
- 6 GB Corsair DDR2-800 RAM
- Gigabyte GA-MA78GPM-DS2H
- Antec TruePower 550W
- Club3D Radeon HD 6950 CoolStream Edition
- Scythe Mugen 3 Rev. B
- Samsung 850 512 GB SSD
- Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM
Setup
Debian Wheezy installed just fine on it and everything worked out of the box - including the Logitech Unified receiver that gave problems with the keyboard layout on Arch Linux. Ironically, Arch offers bleeding-edge software (and as such far more recent than anything Debian Stable can offer), and yet, it could not handle the Logitech receiver correctly. I later updated Debian to Jessie (Testing) to get XvBA hardware acceleration going with XBMC, but XBMC is still a bit of a PITA on Debian.
The box is mainly booted when I have some Windows-only stuff to do, or when I need to compile heavier stuff (like an OpenWrt checkout, for example, but I also tend to build ZFS packages on it).
